Rohan and Rennie’s Indian Wedding – Fiji

New! Check out Rohan and Rennie’s post wedding photos – bursting with colour!

For months I’d been losing sleep planning and preparing. Sydney couple Rohan and Rennie had asked me and Chris to fly up and cover their Indian wedding in Fiji. Following a few days of ceremonies and functions at their respective houses, we drove along the flood-damaged main road to Denarau island. The recently-finished Hilton stood right at the edge of the water, presenting broad, sweeping views of Fiji and the islands.

I can think of worse places to photograph a wedding:

Accessorising (love the colours and detail):

Rennie:

Rohan’s pre-wedding prayer ceremony – could it be in a better location?

The restaurant where the wedding was held – this was the first time they’d hosted an Indian wedding and I think they did an exemplary job:

Rennie arriving on a little buggy – very cute (and what a backdrop):

Rennie to me: “This is how I feel right now!”

Rohan laying amorous eyes on his soon-to-be bride:

The mandap:

The ceremony went a bit over time and we had to race to catch the rapidly fading light – I couldn’t come all the way to Fiji and miss the sunset!

Thanks guys for all your hospitality and friendship over the week. It was a truly unforgettable experience and I’m humbled to have been there to capture all these special moments for you.
