Last week I drove up to the spacious Nurragingy Reserve in Doonside for Vijita and Pranil’s pre-wedding photo session. They are shy, calm and contemplative and share a close connection.

Having photographed Alan and Tammie earlier in the week also in La Perouse, I set myself a challenge to take a completely different set of photos of Elvyn and Nish’s e-session. This is why I love capturing the subtle yet significant differences in the relationships between people; every photo session is unique to those people, even if the location is the same.
Last weekend I met up with Nish and Elvyn for their e-session in La Perouse. Every time we meet we get on like old friends – they are open, honest and their love for each other is obvious. When they’re together they’re like two kids – always teasing and playfully pushing and grabbing each other. They definitely don’t take themselves seriously! Here are some favourites from the session.

Tammie found me through my Flickr page, of all places. Currently living in New York, she was visiting Sydney and wanted to surprise her boyfriend Alan with a couple photo shoot. After a rainy day reschedule we met up in one of my favourite places, La Perouse. Here are some of the images I captured of this playful and loving pair.
Mayank and Nandi wanted some pre-wedding photos done in Sydney city to prepare table settings and invitations for their Indian wedding in December. They are a relaxed and trendy couple and it sounds like their wedding is going to be incredible! Here are some images from their afternoon session.

I have been friends with Emma and Jeremy for a long time and was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding. Last weekend I met them at their place in Glebe for their engagement shoot. They are really laid back and energetic couple who love music and pop culture, so the colourful, grungey surrounds of Glebe were a perfect match for their personalities.

Every time we meet, Kaveeta, Andrew and I have a blast. They have a relaxed, down-to-earth attitude and really know how to have a good time. Don’t believe me? Jackie and Grace are a fun-loving and laid-back couple. Jackie is always making Grace laugh and their genuine affection for one another can be plainly seen. I’ll be working with the lovely Honey from Weddings by Mejia who I’m confident will do an amazing job for their wedding.
After getting her make-up and hair done by the seriously talented Sharon Leigh, Grace, Jackie and I drove down to the pleasantly empty Balmoral Beach for a casual stroll along the beach. We explored the small island and I captured some great natural photos by the Balmoral Bathers Pavilion.

I’ll be shooting Jackie and Grace’s wedding next month around the Rocks, Watersedge and the Park Hyatt. It’s going to be a lot of fun!
The Spring sun warmed my skin as I greeted Rachael and Adam by the sweeping coastline of La Perouse in Sydney’s east. Their relaxed and playful demeanour immediately rubbed off on me as we joked and played around the buildings, rocks and greenery. Rachael and Adam share a carefree and playful love, the kind that endures and remains exciting for a long time.
I felt a vintage look suited their clothes and their old-fashioned love – let me know what you think in the comments. This is also the new way I’ll be posting up images – bigger, brighter and clearer!

After a few reschedules Roy and Mel arranged a Sunday e-session with me yesterday. They love the outdoors and our ever-changing Sydney skyline, so I recommended Illoura reserve at the end of Darling St in Balmain. The cool Winter sun shone on as we traipsed through the back streets of Balmain and through the spacious park. Roy and Mel share a carefree and very real love for one another and it really showed in the photos.
We ended up chatting for what seemed like half an hour afterwards about the wedding, life and everything in between. I love the instant rapport we had and I already know the wedding next month will be smooth sailing and lots of fun.
